Lorain County
Public Health
Lorain County Public Health is a 32,000 sf, 8M institutional building. This project brought together Lorain County, Lorain City and Elyria City health departments in one new building. While at Bialosky, Dave Hood, the founder of Forest City Engineers, lead the overall MEP design. The project included a variable air volume air conditioning system with hydronic heat, specialty LED lighting, and low water consumption plumbing fixtures. The project was constructed under the multiple prime delivery method, requiring a high level of construction coordination by the design team to keep the project on time.
